Terms and Conditions

Booking
Things you need to know before bookingTo book a Drama Party, Weekly Class, Holiday Workshop or Bespoke Drama please complete the simple form online and we will contact you to confirm the details. Alternatively please call us to book over the phone. For parties a non refundable deposit of 50% is required to confirm the party booking and the remaining 50% is payable on the day.Holiday Workshops must be paid in full and once payment has been made no refunds can be given.

For Weekly classes your child may attend a free trial class. We require a £20 deposit to secure the place but this will be refunded in full if your child doesn’t continue after the first session.

If they would like to continue we require the remaining term fee by the next session. The fee will be calculated accordingly, deducting the free trial class and the deposit.

If we don’t receive the fee by the next class and have not been able to make contact with you we will then offer the place to another child on the waiting list.

Fees can be paid by credit/ debit card, cash or cheque made payable to allsorts.

Younger siblings always receive a 20% discount.

If we are unable to offer a place we will put your child’s name on our waiting list and let you know as soon as one becomes available.

We keep our class numbers smaller than a lot of other drama schools so early booking is recommended to avoid disappointment.

Once your child has a place we will send you an email or letter after half term to request the subsequent terms fee which are due by the end of term.

If we don’t receive the fee by the last session and have been unable to make contact with you, we will offer your child’s place to another on the waiting list.

Unfortunately we cannot offer any refunds once payment has been made for the term.

We always hold our classes in the safe and secure environment of a school.

If you have arranged for your child to be collected by another individual please let us know before the class.

Please ensure that you are on time to collect your child.

If an emergency arises while your child is with us, we will make every effort to contact you on the telephone numbers you have provided.

If we cannot reach you and your child requires urgent medical treatment, we will give our consent on your behalf if delay in treatment may endanger your child’s health or safety in the opinion of a doctor or hospital.

We accept children on the assumption that they are in good health and it is your responsibility to let us know if they have a medical complaint or any medical history.

Drinks and snacks are provided at most of our classes so we need to know about any allergies as well.

We do not accept responsibility for loss or damage arising from errors or omissions on the booking form whether completed by you or by another person in charge of your child at the time of completion.

We do not accept liability for death or personal injury to any child attending allsorts or any activity related to allsorts whether organised by allsorts or otherwise save to the extent that such death or injury be caused by the negligence or default of any member of our staff or other default on our part.

We do not accept responsibility for any loss of or damage to, personal property belonging to you or your child irrespective of whether such possessions might be used by you or the child for the purposes of any allsorts activity save to the extent that such loss or damage shall be caused by the negligence or default of any member of our staff or any other default on our part.

Refund Policy

If we are able to fill your child’s place for our drama classes or holiday workshops with someone on the waiting list, then we will refund you.

If your child is unable to attend at the last minute due to ill health or family issues then we may arrange for you to be able to take a course at a later date but these decisions are made case by case and always up to the discretion of the directors.

For parties we require a 50% non refundable deposit to confirm the booking. If a party is cancelled 14 days prior to the party date then the remainder of the party fee will not be charged. If a party has to be cancelled at late notice due to illness or other circumstances then we will consider rearranging the party for a future date but this is up to the discretion of the directors.

Terms & Conditions

Classes will be taken at a convenient time that will be worked out with your daughter’s class teacher (including break and lunchtimes) so as not to interfere with certain lessons. The classes are sometimes rotated to avoid girls missing the same lesson each week. Classes will be in pairs or sometimes small groups depending on the exam chosen.

Fees for Summer Term 2023 will be £17.00 per class
Exam fees are additional and vary according to grade.
Each Student will take at least one LAMDA exam a year, these are generally taken in May.

Once the Exam date is booked notification will be sent to the Parents and the dates will be put in the school Calendar.
The Students will also participate in a LAMDA performance for Parents during the Spring
term.

LAMDA EXAMINATIONS
When possible examinations will take place at More House School, during the school day.
Should your child be prevented from attending their examination on the day due to illness, injury or recent bereavement, LAMDA Examinations will consider refunding half the fee in the form of a Transfer Credit Voucher (TCV). The school must receive notice in writing to melissa@allsortsdrama.com of the circumstances within 7 working days following the examination date. A doctor’s note or hospital appointment/discharge letter will be required in the event of illness. LAMDA Transfer Credit Vouchers are non-transferable and valid for one year only.

CANCELLATION OF LESSONS DURING THE ACADEMIC YEAR:

New Starters:
Pupils have half a term after first starting the LAMDA lessons to decide if they wish to continue with the lessons. If it is decided not to continue then written notification must be received by Melissa by no later than half-term. Provided this is received no charge will be made for the second half of term.

Cancellation at all other times:
With the exception of the ‘New Starters’ provision above, should a pupil decide to cease lessons at any point during a given term, you will remain liable for that full term’s fees.

Otherwise a full term’s notice of withdrawal (given no later than the first day of the previous term) is required in writing to Melissa Healy or a term’s fees are payable in lieu of the correct notice.

It is recommended that the girls continue the LAMDA for the academic year –this will allow them to perform in the LAMDA showcase and to take their exam in the summer term. Some girls will be working in pairs so it is imperative they are committed so as not to let their partner down.
